FAQ for congregation for outdoor worship service 09.27.20

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: Where will the outdoor worship service be held?
A: On the grass behind the Sanctuary (the west side), at 9:00 A.M. on Sunday mornings.

Q: Where do I go when I arrive?
A: We have two entrances: in the south parking lot by the nursery/preschool playground, and in the north parking lot between Anderson Hall and the back of the Sanctuary.
At both entrances, you’ll come to a sign that reads: “Temperature Check”. A friendly helper will take a quick touchless temperature scan of your forehead and will direct you to the check-in station. At the check -in station, you’ll be able to pick up:
• a Bulletin (with Worship Songs, Message Outline, Connection Card & Offering Envelope)
• a Campus Map (to show you what’s happening where)
• a complimentary face mask (in case you forgot your’s!)
• Hand Sanitizer (to keep us all healthy and strong!)
• an Offering Box for your tithes and offerings (because ushers won’t be passing the plate for safety)

Q: What programs are offered for families?
A: CHILDREN (3-5 years) — our wonderful Miss Emily will be leading a children’s program in the nursery/preschool playground.
CHILDREN (Kindergarten-5th grade) — our fantastic Children’s Pastor, Mrs. Sandy will be leading a children’s program outdoors between the 300 and 400 buildings.
FAMILY FOCUS will be meeting in Anderson Hall after the 9:00 service.

Q: Do I bring my own chairs and awning?
A: You may, but we will have chairs set up including groups of 2, 3, 4, 5 — so individuals from the same household may sit together. Each group must observe social distancing of 6 feet or more at all times. We’re offering an early morning service when the back side of the Sanctuary has shade, so awnings won’t be needed.

Q: Will there be a section for our Seniors a safe distance away from the rest of our congregation?
A: Yes, we will be setting up chairs on the sidewalk next to the Sanctuary. It is also available for those needing a level, non-grass surface.

Q: Will restrooms be available?
A: Yes! Our Seniors will be able to use the restroom in the Sanctuary Conference Room, other adults will have access to the Anderson Hall restrooms, the children will use the 400 building restrooms and preschool children will use the preschool restrooms.

Q: Is there anything else I need to be aware of?
A: (1) Please wear your mask at all times. Our pastors and worship leader may not when they are on stage…so their speaking or singing will be intelligible. (2) It isn’t what we are used to, but we encourage you to avoid hugs and handshakes. 2020 is “a time to” show our love for one another by “refraining from embracing” (ECCL. 3:5)! (3) Please be patient with us — we’re trying something new and we’ll probably get some things wrong the first time! 🙂 (4) We can’t wait to see you!
